Enrollment Policy 

 

A Plus Real Estate School, LLC (A Plus Real Estate School) is open to the general public and licenses by the New Jersey Real Estate Commission to conduct salesperson and broker courses. Students must have a high school diploma or equivalent and be 18 years of age or older to qualify to take the state examination for licensing as a real estate salesperson. Broker candidates must be continuously licensed as a full-time salesperson for a minimum of three (3) years for the time period immediately preceding the date of application and fulfill apprenticeship requirements of the New Jersey Real Estate Commission. A minimum of 6 students must sign up.

 

Attendance Policy 

 

The New Jersey Real Estate Commission mandates the attendance policy. Students must adhere to their requirements and also to the requirements of the A Plus Real Estate School. Students who are absent for more than twenty percent (20%) of class hours must make up hours missed during the scheduled time of the registered class before they may take the final examination and receive a school completion certificate. 

In accordance with strict hour requirements of the New Jersey Real Estate Commission. A Plus Real Estate School will record late arrivals and early departures in cumulative fifteen (15) minute units.

Leaves of absence are not permitted. If absences exceed required hours, the student must begin the class again.

New Jersey Real Estate Commission requires instruction time to be fifty-five (55) minutes for each classroom hour of instruction. The five (5) minutes will be accumulated to give reasonable breaks during each session. 

Inclement Weather Policy

 

In case of inclement weather, please class the school phone number (732) 262-8500. The answering machine service will advise if the school is closed. In general, the school will be closed if local schools are delayed or closed. The next business day will be the regularly scheduled school day. If the class was to be ended on that day of inclement weather and the student cannot return to school on the next scheduled business day, arrangements must be made between the student and the school director. 

Make-Up Policy

Students who miss more than twenty percent (20%) of the required hours for salesperson or for broker courses must make up these additional hours during the scheduled time of a registered class before they can take the final exam and receive certification from the school. 

Repeat Policy/Review Policy

In order to assist students in the completion of the New Jersey licensing requirements, A Plus Real Estate School offers a choice to a student who fails to pass the course to either repeat the course or review the course. There is a non-refundable $40.00 fee. The student must call to register for either the seventy-five (75) hour pre-licensing course or the seven (7) hour review course. Note: Students may avail either Option A or Option B, NOT BOTH, and only ONCE, within six (6) months of the original pre-licensing course end date. 

Option A: 

Any student who wishes to repeat the entire seventy-five (75) hour pre-licensing course in order to obtain a certificate of completion, due to any circumstances which may have caused the student to not complete the course or not pass the exam, may re-register by following the guidelines above.

Option B:

The review course is offered to those students who have completed all the requirements of the seventy-five (75) hour licensing course, but failed to pass the school or state examinations. Your text book will be required; if you do not bring your textbook to the review of the class you will be charged $50.00 for another textbook. Certificates will be mailed within ten (10) business days of completion of the review course.

Progress and Completion Policy

A Plus Real Estate School administers quizzes and a final examination. Grades of less than 70% on quizzes may require extra homework or make-up classes at the discretion of the instructor. Failed quizzes will not affect eligibility for certification. A 70% passing grade school exam, completion of required hours, and a full tuition payment are required in order to obtain certification from the school. Should a student fail the school exam, instructors are authorized to administer only (1) make-up exam. All exams and make-up exams must be done during the scheduled time of the registered class unless other arrangements are made with the school director. You must pass your final exam with a grade no less than 70%. A failed test may be retaken at an additional cost of $50.00.

Dismissal Policy

If a determination is made by the instructor and the director that a student is disrupting the class or displaying unprofessional conduct in any manner, the student will be dismissed from the class. A Plus Real Estate School will not enroll the student in another class. The decision of the instructor and the director is final.

Refund Policy

At the start of each class session, each student will be given a form (Screening Questions) to review the State requirements for licensure. Should you discover that you are not qualified for the license you are seeking, you will be allowed to withdraw from the class and receive a full refund of any tuition and fees that have been paid.

Up to ten (10) days before class starts, not including day of class, full tuition or amount paid will be reimbursed.

From ten (10) days before class starts, including the first day of class, reimbursement of tuition minus a $50.00 cancellation fee will apply. A "Request for Reimbursement of Tuition" form must be filled out of the instructor. With the exception of the above, students will not be entitled to a refund once the class session has begun. Students have six (6) months to repeat the course.
